Six years later....

So, once again, I'm thinking of resurrecting this blog, only this time I'm going to focus on games in general, be they video or tabletop.  Time will tell whether or not I actually get this going, but I'm kind of feeling like I need an outlet again.

Since l blogged, I reignited my love of tabletop games, mostly RPGs, but a few boardgames as well. I tried getting into miniatures, as well, but my arthritis and bad eyesight got in the way of that, but I'm still considering giving it a try with the right aids.  The RPG resurgence is largely due to friends who are in the industry, but Critical Role also played a part in it.

Anywho, I'll wrap this up for now, and who knows?  Maybe this'll be a regular gig again.

Riiiise... aka My first post in almost two years

It's funny.

It's my first post in almost two years, and the catalyst is the same.

Sessler has once again left the building.

End of an era

Ladies and gentlemen, Adam Sessler has left the building.

After around 15 years at G4 (in all of its incarnations), Sessler's finally flipped them the bird and moved on, and I can't say I blame him.

Much too much

It's been a while, largely due to school, work, and... well... gaming getting in the way, but here I am. It's November April, now. It's deep into long past AAA release season, and for the first time, I'm knee deep into almost completely caught up with it.

Coming this summer, I should be posting more regularly, and with greater zest and zeal.

... but don't hold me to that.

The Deluge

Wow, what a summer I've had in regards to gaming.

That said, I apologize for the lack of posts, even though I've been chewing through a lot of games, including a handful of franchises that I'd previously overlooked.  The combination of work, commute, and need for downtime killed most of the time I would have had to blog, and while I'd love for this to become something more, it is still just a little diversion.

If I were getting paid for this... well, that'd be a different story.

Post this on your wall

So, it's funny, my last post prior to the hiatus was about my tackling Assassin's Creed II, and now I'm talking about its sequel, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.  More specifically, I'm going to talk about its use of Facebook integration, and how this might end up becoming a game changer.  Plus, I'll go on about my recent splash into the multiplayer pool.

Back in black

Well, that was a longer than expected hiatus... sorry about that.

Since that last post, I've experienced picking up a game at launch (two, actually, including my first pre-order in over a decade), a controversy involving fanboy trolling, and my first multiplayer beta.  (Amongst other things, including my first Call of Duty game on a current generation console, being the glorious Black Ops, which I should devote some posting time to.)

The two launch games were the previously mentioned Halo: Reach and Dragon Age 2, by the way.
